The uP1625 is a VR12 compliant VR controller that integrates a 2/3/4-phase PWM controller for VCORE and a 1-phase PWM controller for VGT. To comply with VR12 specification, the uP1625 accurately reports utput currents and VR temperatures. The uP1625 provides programmable 2/3/4 phase operation for VCORE. uP1625 integrates 2 bootstrapped drivers that support 12V + 12V driving capability. 3/4 phase operation is enabled by a logic level PWM utput, achieving optimal balance between cost and flexibility. The uP1625 supports automatic phase adding/dropping that is activated by H/W PSI setting. The uP1625 operates in diode emulation mode at extreme light load condition, yielding maximum efficiency over entire load current range.
Other features include adjustable soft start, transient boost function, under/over voltage protection, over current protection and thermal shutdown. The uP1625 is available in VQFN6X6-48L package.
